Where Cinema Kits live
Open Assets and choose Cinema Kits, directly under Brand Kits. Use New Cinema Kit, give it the name of the film, series or campaign, and it opens on its Overview. A new Cinema Kit starts with three collections: Cast, Locations and Props. Rename them, add your own (a look board, an episode, a set), or delete the ones you do not need. The kit page
A Cinema Kit has the same three views as a Brand Kit:- Overview — a checklist of what is still missing, the Production bible, and the Cast.
- Collections — the kit’s reference images and characters, in named groups.
- Guidance & skills — the Do / Don’t rules that keep the film consistent, and the skills that describe how a shot is made.
Production bible
The production bible is one document the assistant reads for every shot. Choose Start writing (or the pencil) and lay out the whole production. Use this outline fills in six headings to write under:- Story — who wants what, what stands in the way, how it ends
- Characters — who each person is, what they want, how they look and move
- Locations — where each scene happens, the time of day, what it feels like
- Props — each object that matters and what must never change about it
- Camera — format and aspect ratio, lenses, movement, lighting, colour and texture
- Voiceover — the exact lines, in order, with who says them and how
Cast
Cast shows the characters filed into the kit. Add cast opens the Cast collection, where Add assets → Your library lists your characters. A Cinema Kit points at characters; it does not copy them. You still create, rename and edit a character, and its reference images, in Assets → Characters. One character can be in several kits.Locations and props
Add reference images to Locations and Props with Add assets. Open an image and give it a clear name and subjects such as “Diner interior” or “Red pickup”. When you name that place or object in a request, the assistant picks the image whose name or subjects match.Rules and skills
Rules work the way they do in a Brand Kit. Add a rule on Guidance & skills for the whole production (“Always shot at night”), or inside a collection for the things in it (“Cast: everyone in costume”). A rule can also follow one subject, so “Mara always wears the red coat” applies only when Mara is in the shot. Skills saved on the kit describe how a shot is made: a shot design method, a way of directing a performance, a blocking method.Using a Cinema Kit in Studio
In Studio chat, open the kit menu in the composer. Once your workspace has a Cinema Kit, the menu is named Kits, lists Brand Kits and Cinema Kits separately, and stays open so you can tick more than one:- a Cinema Kit on its own, for an unbranded film
- a Cinema Kit with a Brand Kit, for a branded ad
- two Cinema Kits, to bring one world’s characters into another
