# Workspace Settings

> Rename, describe, brand, and (if you mean it) delete your workspace.

Settings live at **Manage Workspaces → Settings**. Only **admins** and **owners** see this tab.

All fields save automatically on blur — no "Save" button. Type and move on.

## What you can change

* **Name** — shows in the workspace switcher and card header (1–50 characters)
* **Description** — short blurb under the name (max 280 characters, with live character count)
* **Logo** — the image used in the switcher pill, card header, members list, and invite page
* **Workspace URL** — read-only, displayed for reference

## Renaming

Two ways:

**Inline (fastest):** On `/workspaces`, hover the workspace name → pencil icon → type → Enter to save, Escape to cancel.

**Settings tab:** Edit the Name field, click outside.

Both call the same backend, same result.

## Logo

1. Click **Upload logo** (or **Replace logo** if one exists)
2. Pick an image — PNG, JPG, or SVG, max 5 MB
3. The logo appears immediately across the workspace switcher, card header, workspace list, and invite page

Click **Remove** to go back to the default Memo icon.

<Tip>
  Logos look best as squares. Memo crops to a rounded square at 64x64. Wider images get center-cropped.
</Tip>

## Workspace URL

Something like `memo.app/w/your-slug`. Read-only by design — changing slugs would break links you've shared. Auto-generated from the name at creation. Copy it with the button next to it.

## Deleting a workspace

**Owner only.** Admins cannot.

1. Scroll to the **Danger Zone**
2. Click **Delete Workspace**
3. Type the exact workspace name to enable the button
4. Click **Delete Workspace** (red)

This is permanent and cascades through everything:

* All members removed
* All pending invites cancelled
* All inspirations, generations, brand kits, brand assets, and Studio projects deleted

After deletion: if you have other workspaces, Memo switches to one. If this was your only one, you're sent to `/` to create a new one.

There is no undo. The data does not go to a trash bin.

## Troubleshooting

**Settings tab isn't showing up.**
You're not an admin or owner. Ask an admin if you need a setting changed.

**Delete button won't activate.**
Type the workspace name exactly — capitalization and spaces matter.

**Logo upload failed.**
Check the file: must be an image, max 5 MB. Try a PNG at \~512x512.

**Deleted by mistake.**
No recovery. Workspace deletion is intentionally final. Create a new one and re-invite.
